Susan Chase

Susan "Sue" Chase, age 72, of Holland, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 at home. She was born on October 25, 1947 to Arthur and Rose Marie (Lambert) Chase. Sue was employed with Schmucker's for over 20 years. She enjoyed playing cards, doing ceramics, bowling and cake decorating, Sue liked having picnics and family reunions. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sue was very outspoken and feisty. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Allen Leininger; and siblings, Harvey Chase, Deborah Baer, Arthur Chase and Julie Ann Chase. Sue is survived by her mom, Rose Marie Goldsmith; step-mom, Jean Chase; loving children, Roger (Katey) Leininger, Jr., Bill (Belinda) Leininger, and Keena (Brian) Humphrey; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way; siblings, Stephen Chase, Ellen Kay Whitman, Peter (Connie) Chase, and Carla Jean Teel; canine companion, Bella; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, May 31, 2020 from 2 – 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo (419-392-9500) with Memorial Services beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
