Steven J. "Steve" Kasprzak, age 67, of Oregon, OH, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at home. He was born on June 10, 1954 to Henry and Lillian (Osinski) Kasprzak in Toledo, OH. Steve worked at Chrysler/Jeep for over 30 years before retiring. He was an active member of the Placers Car Club, now known as Carp Town Cruisers for over 20 years. Steve was a huge music buff, loved 50's music and played the drums and accordion since he was young boy, which continued on until he passed. He was known for his love of 50's culture and this was represented in his home and garage. Steve played in various local bar bands throughout the years. He DJ'ed at local night clubs and attended many car shows where he won a plethora of awards in excellence. Steve met some of his lifelong friends at the many summer car shows and cruise-ins, which he truly cherished. His smile, booming laugh, affinity for practical jokes, and caring nature will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his dear cousin, Kevin Kasprzak. Left to cherish Steve's memory are his loving children, Brian Kasprzak, Brandie (Wayne Chung) Kasprzak, and Michael (Catherine George) Kasprzak; grandchildren, Julia Chung, Weston Chung, Caitlin Kasprzak, and Cena Phillips; sister, Christine "Tina" (Donald) Barror; niece, Bernadette Barror; former spouse and current friend, Joyce Kasprzak; special best friend, Bob Reddish; and many other dear friends.
A brief Graveside Service will be held for family and friends on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, 2224 Dorr St., Toledo, OH 43607. Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
