Steven M. Adamski

Steven "Steve" M. Adamski, age 64, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Ebeid Hospice. He was born on July 11, 1958, to the late Donald and Anne (Gozdowski) Adamski.
Steve graduated from Rogers High School. He had worked for Floyd P. Bucher and Son, as an operating engineer, for 34 years. Steve had a very strong work ethic. Whether it was working in the yard or his garage to cutting grass, he was always tinkering and working on something. Known as the "Mayor of his Neighborhood", Steve would help others' in any way he could. He was someone you could count on at the drop of a hat. He was a very talented woodworker, making walking canes and other beautiful pieces. Before getting sick, he would walk 4 miles a day and enjoyed golfing and playing softball. Steve enjoyed watching sports, such as the Dallas Cowboys, Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Pistons, Indy Racing, and NASCAR. Steve was a very simple guy and never gave up; he fought till the end. His smile, homemade cigarettes, work ethic, and love will forever be missed by all who knew him. It's not goodbye, it's see you later…
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his high school sweet heart and loving wife, Patti (Newman) Adamski, whom he married on January 29, 1978; son, Josh (Marcia) Adamski; grandchildren, Bailey Phillips, Madison (Nate Wood) Phillips, Jordan Appelhans, and Josie Appelhans; brothers, Matt (Kathy) Adamski and Donald (Michelle) Adamski; sisters, Shari (Ronnie) VanBuskirk and Karen (Rich) McFarland; a very special niece, Debbie (Ralph Tolander) Soloman; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death and greeted in Heaven by his daughter, Trisha Adamski-Appelhans; and a sister, Linda Adamski.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio, 43623, on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 2:00 pm - 7:00pm, where a prayer service will be at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on Monday, October 10, 2022, at the funeral home, at 11:00 am. Following the service, Steven will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville.
