Steve C. Burrell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Steve C. Burrell, whose sun rose on February 15, 1963 and set on January 4, 2025. Steve was a truck driver for over thirty years, the last 25 years as a gravel hauler with over 2 million miles over his entire career. His work ethic was one of dedication and hard work, he was a valued employee and driver of Truck #163 with Southern Bay Trucking, Inc. 

Steve had a love of many things, custom cars, trucks, muscle cars, and going to car shows. He enjoyed weekends on Lake Erie jet skiing and riding on his street bike, and in his later years his beloved Harley Davidson. He loved to entertain every summer DJing his "Summer Jams" with his radio worthy voice, hosting cookouts and the best parties.

Steve was a loving, caring and kind person who was always willing to listen if you needed to talk. He will be remembered by all and will be sadly missed. 

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly. He leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Frank Burrell, Jr; brothers, John (Laura) and Andre Burrell; and nieces and nephews, Desmond, Simone, Miles, Deonte, and Malik. Also surviving is his longtime friend, Cindy Ellison, her daughter, April, and grandchildren, Isaac and Evelyn. 

The family will receive guests on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd, Toledo. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 6149 Hill Ave, Toledo. Burial will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, Steve's family requests donations in his memory be made to a Breast Cancer Association or Research Program of your choice.
