Stephen K. Hoskins, Sr.

Stephen K. "Steve" Hoskins, age 51, of Toledo, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, suddenly on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at home. He was born on June 22, 1964 to Gerald, Sr. and Mary (Wilson) Hoskins in Toledo. Steve was employed with GM Powertrain for 30 years before retiring in October 2014. He was a member of UAW Local 14 and Crossroads Community Church. Steve was an artist, loved fishing, cooking, traveling and spending time with his family. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Detroit Red Wings and Nascar, especially Dale Jr. Steve will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Steve is survived by his loving children, Stephen, Jr. and Lauren Hoskins; mother, Mary Hoskins; brothers, Gerald, Jr. (Donna) and Patrick (Jantee) Hoskins; former spouse and friend, Jackie Hoskins; maternal grandmother, Myrtie Wilson; canine companion, Dillinger; and many other family members and dear friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Ryan Hoskins.

The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
