Stella Rothfuss

Stella "Sally" Rothfuss, age 86, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2006 in Parkcliff Assisted Living. She was born on November 22, 1919 to Ernst W. and Stella Schnabel in San Jose, California. Sally graduated from San Jose State University in June of 1941, She majored in general education and minored in music and arts. She taught school in Carmel and San Jose, CA before marrying Fred Rothfuss in 1946. Sally and Fred then moved to Ohio and Michigan where she was a teacher. Sally then worked with her husband in their business, established in Ottawa Lake, MI, Rothfuss Industries, Inc. After retiring to Luther, MI they built Redfoot Hills Golf Course.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Rothfuss and brothers, Walter, William and Frederick Schnabel. Sally is survived by her loving children, son: Michael (Sheri) Rothfuss; daughter: Nancy (Rex) Fullerton; and grandsons: Ryan and Trent.

The Newcomer Funeral Home, (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
