Stella Ostrowski

Stella Ostrowski, age 98, of Toledo, passed away September 7, 2016 at Genesis Healthcare of Sylvania. She was born on September 3, 1918 to Frank and Selma (Sokula) Janczak in Toledo. Stella was an avid seamstress, loved doing arts and crafts, playing the organ, cards and bingo and most importantly going shopping with family and friends. She was a loving homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. Stella was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Henry Ostrowski; brothers, Martin and Chester Janczak; and sister, Lottie. Stella is survived by her loving son, Fred (Sharon) Ostrowski; grandchildren, Tony (Julie) Ostrowski, Nikki (Shawn) Trimmer, Glenn (Toni) Smith and Kim (Mark) Heninger; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many cousins from the Jaworski family.

The family will receive guests on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
