Stella (Partin) Lambdin, age 97 of Toledo, passed away Thursday, July 21st, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was born February 18th, 1914 to James and Sara (Maison) Partin in Frakes, Kentucky. Stella married Phillip J. Lambdin on June 8th, 1934 in Pruden, Tennessee. She was a member of Athens Missionary Baptist Church in Walbridge, Ohio. Her family will dearly miss the wonderful stories she shared with them over the years.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Helen Lowe of Holland, Kernie (Wanda) Lambdin of Maumee and Donna Carr of Toledo; sister, Argie Partin of Clairfield, Tennessee; grandchildren, Janice (Brett) Rhonehouse of Holland, Gary (Tina) Lambdin of Pineville, Kentucky, Tina (Danny) Dusseau of Toledo, Jeff (Judy) Lambdin of Tazwell, Tennessee, Tonya Carr of Waterville and Jim (Michelle) Carr of Toledo; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip in 1985; son, Cecil in 1990; five brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive guests Sunday from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). There will be a prayer service offered in the funeral home Sunday evening. Interment will take place in New Vine Cemetery in Laural Fork, Kentucky at a later date.
