Stanley R. Green, 75, passed into Glory on January 20, 2013. He was born on August 2, 1937 to the late Genevieve and Robert Green in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Stan had many interests including reading, cars, drawing and working with stained-glass. In 1992 Stan professed a faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior and became involved in his local church as a Sunday School teacher and greeter. His main occupation was a mechanic but he enjoyed his time working at Huntington Ambulance in Southern California at sporting events and on movie sets.
In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his son, Robert Howard Green; sister, Kay Busch and brothers-in-law, John Keller and Paul DeAngelo. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 51 years, Betty; son, Stanley Green; step-daughters, Seri (Tom) Dreiling, Jodi (Todd) Yost; grandchildren, Brian Dreiling, Jeff Dreiling, Noelle Dreiling, Brandon Yost and Melissa Yost and their families which includes 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Pete (Betty) Green; sisters, Mary Keller and Sue DeAngelo and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Bruce Snyder officiating.
