Stanley B. "Stan" Camp, age 93, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Kingston Care Center of Sylvania. He was born on March 30, 1922 to Howard and Anna (Klein) Camp in Toledo. Stan was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. He was a graduate of Scott High School in 1940. Stan then received his Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Toledo. He worked as a Jr. Accountant for 5 years and then went to be a Social Worker with the Lucas County Department of Human Services for 20 years before retiring. Stan was a longtime member of Conn-Weissenberger American Legion Post #587 and the Church of Christ. He was an avid fan of sports, especially of the Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State University Buckeyes. Stan loved politics and watching MSNBC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Clara Camp; brothers, Howard, Wayne and Claude; sisters, Zoie, Vivian, Fay, and Carmen. Stan is survived by his son, Bruce (Rosalie) Camp; daughter, Linda (Gary) Riebe; grandchildren, Michelle (David), Sarah, Candace, Jackie (Mike), Robert (Crystal) and Alicia; 7 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Lois Camp.
There will be no visitation and Services were Private for Stan. The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel assisted the family with professional services.
