Sigmund "Ziggy" Andrzejewski

Sigmund (Ziggy) Andrzejewski, 95, Swanton, OH passed away on Sept. 22, 2024 at the age of 95. He was born on January 28, 1929 to Mary and Peter Andrzejewski. He came from a large family with 9 siblings. 

 Ziggy was a kind and loving husband, father, grandparent and great grandparent.

 In 1951 Ziggy fell in love with Barbara and they were married at St. Hyacinth Church. Ziggy and Barbara had 6 beautiful daughters, Betty, Linda, Carol, Mary, Debbie and Sue and 2 sons, David and Ricky (deceased).

 Ziggy is survived by his wife, Barbara, and his children, Betty Hass (Tom), Linda Shade, Carol Saba (Rick). David Andrzejewski, Mary Poturalski (Roger), Debbie Mossing (Jim), Sue Hawkins (Steve, deceased); 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Ziggy was the last one to pass of all his siblings.

 He worked on the railroad for several years as an oiler. He continued on to work at Jeep where everyone knew who he was, and retired when he was only 57. He also did not go anywhere without his Jeep baseball cap. 

 Ziggy loved to play cards, scratch off lottery tickets and play the Mega Millions where he kept track of all the winning numbers. He had a folder full. 

 He also, loved to plant a garden every year in his back yard. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Services will be private.
