Shontika E. Wilson

Shontika Evette "Tika" Wilson, age 28, gained her wings on February 1, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 26, 1993 to Bobby Wilson and Terry Denise Hayes in Toledo. Tika graduated in 2012 from Rogers High School and attended Davis College. She obtained her STNA and then went on to work at Toledo Healthcare for many years. Tika loved gaming and Pokémon. She enjoyed getting her hair and nails done. Tika liked spending time with her siblings for movie night. She enjoyed listening to music, doing arts and crafts and making things for others. Tika's generosity, kindness and caring soul will be missed as she was always helping others. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish Tika's memory are her mother, Denise Mays; father, Bobby Wilson; siblings, Inetta Wilson, Rehonna Wilson, Keavant Henderson, Wazeda Wilson and Lela Overton; adoring nieces, A'laiyah and Leila Haynes; grandmother, Eula Fudge; aunts, Rhanita Gibson, Brenda (Fred) Pettaway, Ella (Reginald) Coleman, Pearlie (Danny) Thompson, Julie Bell, Peggy (James) Reams and Angela Wilson; uncles, Leon Hayes, Nemon (Dorothy) Hayes, Mickel Jenkins, and Fred Wilson; and a host of many other loving family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
