Shirley R. (Domonkos) Venable

Shirley R. Venable, age 65, currently of Temperance, passed away Sunday, January 24th, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born September 3rd, 1944 to Joseph and Elizabeth Domonkos in Toledo. Shirley was a longtime resident of Toledo and recently moved with her husband, Robert to Temperance. She was also a former member of Cornerstone Church. Shirley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren who meant the world to her.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank "Fritz" and Stephen "Pete" Domonkos and sister, Mary Ann Polverari. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Robert D. Venable of Temperance, MI; daughters, Vickie (John) Mickey of Waterville, OH and Sandra (Todd) Meredith of Ottawa Lake, MI; son, Jeffrey (Shelley) Venable of Sylvania; grandchildren, Alexander and Aaron Mickey; Katlyn and Ryan Venable and Cassandra and Tyler Meredith. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.

The Venable Family would like to thank the staffs of Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Hickory Ridge Nursing Home for the loving care and support they provided for Shirley.
