Shirley A. Moore

Shirley A. Moore, age 87, of Toledo, passed away on October 17, 2022. She was born on March 4, 1935 to Charles and Grace Sloan. She married the love of her life, Kent, and was a widow for over 40 years, but she always remembered and counted every anniversary even after Kent's passing in 1984. Shirley will be remembered for her great sense of humor, and her legacy of being the "Queen of the Family" will continue.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Shirley was also preceded in death by her children, James K. Moore and Kathryn Thompson; siblings, Chuck, Art, Clinton, Cleo, and Audrey; and grandson, Gary. She is survived by her children, Linda (James) Pottker, Robert (Cathy) Moore, and Margie (Robert) Crowe; brother, Donald Sloan; son-in-law, Tim Thompson; and her pride and joy, her 17 grandchildren, Patrick, Kim, Lynette, Jay, Corine, Jennifer, Ruth Ann, Laura, Katie, Bryan, Shannon, Dawn, Tonya, Heather, Holly, and Justin; 38 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo, where a Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am on Monday, October 31, 2022. Interment will immediately follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
