Shirley J. Peschel

Shirley J. Peschel, age 81 of Toledo passed away Wednesday, October 5th, 2011 at The Toledo Hospital. She was born September 22nd, 1930 to John and Edith (Kimber) Campbell in Toledo. Shirley was a bookkeeper for Mallory Pattern Works for 15 years. She enjoyed playing cards with her weekly card group and also with Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Jim. Shirley enjoyed cooking, hosting holiday dinners, swimming and taking weekend trips with her son, Bryan. Her family remembers her as a selfless and caring person, during the holidays one of her favorite things to do was to make a nice Christmas for children of a less fortunate family. She also took care of her husband until his passing in 1989 and her son, Bryan while he recovered from his heart transplant.

Shirley is survived by her children, Edye (Tim) Johnson, William Peschel Jr. and Bryan Peschel; nephew, John (Lisa) Campbell and a host of special friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, William Peschel and brother, Jack Campbell.

The family will receive guests Monday from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date.
