Shirley D. Randle

Shirley D. Randle, age 80, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Monday, May 11, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 28, 1934 to Harold and Gladys (Davis) Galloway in Toledo. Shirley was a longtime member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church where she was also a member of the Rosary Alter Society, St. Jude League and Lourdes Prayer League. Shirley was also involved with the Running Strong American Indian Youth. She loved to cook and shop. Shirley worked at Chrysler and then ran a daycare for many years, often opening her home to those in need.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Grant and son, Daryl Randle. Shirley is survived by her loving son, Gregory (Ivy Bey) Randle; grandchildren, Kareem (Kendra) Grant, Paul Keener, Khristyn Grant, June Allen, Meon Allen and Brandi Dunn; great-grandchildren, Sequeoia, Kareem II, Amber, Kellen, Daryn, Marcedes and Ebony; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Gayle Ramey; nieces, Berene and Jacquelyn; nephew, Keith; special cousin, Berene Miller; and many other dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday from 5 – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 1119 W. Bancroft Ave., Toledo, Ohio.
