Shirley Alice Bryant

Shirley Alice Bryant, age 86, recently of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2023 at The Manor of Perrysburg. She was born February 5, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Clayton and Nellie (Crigger) Walker.

Shirley was a member of Seventh Day Church of God in Petersburg, Michigan. In her younger years, Shirley liked to go bowling. She also enjoyed going to garage sales and hosting them, and was a fabulous cook. With her love for cooking, she volunteered at Huntington Farms, where she would cook once a week there. Shirley had a huge heart and cared for everyone. Her family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren. Her cooking, love, and smile will forever be missed. This isn't goodbye, it's see you later…

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving sister, Lynne Walker; grandchildren, Franklin Borthwick Jr. and Abby Duffy; and great grandchildren, Franklin Borthwick III, Kendolyn Borthwick, Grayson Duffy, and Rebecca Duffy.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Bryant; daughter, Rebecca "Becky"Borthwick; and siblings, Clay Walker Jr., Harold Walker, Marie Corwin, Joyce Todd, and Joanne Fox.

Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Friday, January 13, 2022, from 10:00 am until the time of Shirley's funeral at 12:00 pm, with Pastor John Schott officiating. Shirley will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park.
