Shirley Ann Mcdermott

Shirley A. McDermott, age 75, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 15th, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born November 29th, 1935 to James and Marie (Coffey) Moore in Jackson, Michigan. Shirley was employed with Meijer's in Rossford for several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Perrysburg, involved with the Joy Club. In her younger years, Shirley enjoyed dancing and bowling. Shirley was a very giving person and volunteered through her living community for several area food pantries and other organizations. She will be remembered for her generosity and loving heart.

In addition to her parents, James Moore and Marie King, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Fred McDermott and siblings, Marilyn Balch and Danny Moore. She is survived by her children, Jeff Robling, Sue Breakenridge and Danny, Mike and Shawn McDermott; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Bob Ryan, David King, Floyd King, Chuck Kelly, Dodie Balch, Beverly Mitchell, Kay Blakeman and Pauline Friend and many special nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Friday from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
