Sheryl A. (Mallory) Stiriz, age 69, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on October 9, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 5, 1954 in Toledo to Robert and Betty (Ellis) Mallory. Sherri was an artist, delving into many forms of art throughout her lifetime, from quilting to metal and wood work, to painting. She was an avid gardener, lovingly caring for her vegetables, flowers, and bonsai trees. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating. She loved being on the water, the warmth of the sunshine on her skin, and the feel of the wind in her hair. Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada, held a special place in Sherri's heart, as she spent many summers adventuring there with her family. She was a tenacious thrill seeker, always willing to try a new adventure. She was a girly-girl, with her nails painted and her jewelry on, but who wasn't scared to get dirty or filet her own fish at the same time. Sherri was her own soul, living her life her own way, forging her own path to happiness, a path and a soul that will be dearly missed.
Surviving are Sherri's husband of 45 years, Tony Stiriz; daughters, Corie (George) Liberios and Jaime (Jason) Meyers; granddaughters, Kylee and Karsyn; step-daughters, Lisa (Scott) Yoder and Angel (Gary) Beagle; step-grandchildren, Mariah, Cloe, Seth, Montana, Axle, and Briel; sisters, Merri Flisnik and Vicki Mallory; nephew, Lathen Cowell; and many cousins that she held dear to her heart. Also surviving is her best friend of 25 years, Mary Staton. She was preceded in death by her parents.
