Sherman F. Sniegowski

Sherman F. Sniegowski "Duke" "N8POE" age 67, went to be with God on December 25, 2017. He will be missed by all who loved him. Born in Toledo, Ohio to Dorothy & Felix Sniegowski. Sherman was an avid O-H-I-O State fan, Steelers fan, Ham operator, member of TMRA, ARRL, held his CCW license, was a member of the NRA, FOE and Southern Michigan gun club. Sherman loved his pontoon and fishing. He previously worked at TARTA and retired from Greenline.

Left behind to cherish his memory are loving wife of 30 years, Tina; fur children, Joey and Snooki; mother, Dorothy; brother, Tim (Jeanne) Sniegowski; brothers and sisters, James Rank, Louise (Dennis) Stricker, Joy (Rick) Crabtree, and Roy Martinez; sister by another mother, Marsha (Mike) Hayes; little cuz, Lois Jean; many nieces and nephews (too many to mention); Also survived by sons, Robert and Alfred and their families. He was preceded in death by his father Felix; brother and sister-in-law, John (Noreen) Rank; and sisters, Sandra Rank & Gloria Martinez; his other mother and father John (Jane) Rank; idol, John Wayne & fur babies Shorty, Munchie and his girl, Lady J.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Erie, Michigan. Please wear your favorite team shirt to the memorial.

In honor of Sherman, the family is requesting donations to Bittersweet Farms for his nephew Mathew Martinez or the Toledo Humane Society.
