Sherman Brown, Jr.

Sherman "Buck" Brown, Jr., age 65, of Deerfield, MI, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 3, 2022 at home. He was born on October 9, 1956 to Sherman Sr. and Virgin (Stinehelfer) Brown in Oregon, Ohio. Buck married the love of his life, Janet on October 8, 1977 in Toledo. He worked at the Anderson's Company for many years until they closed. Buck was also employed with the USPS for over 20 years, most recently in the Blissfield Post Office until his passing. He liked spending time at his cottage with his wife, planting flowers, boating and relaxing. Buck enjoyed riding his motorcycle, collecting classic cars and tinkering around his property. He looked forward to any time spent with family, friends and his grandchildren. Buck had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. He was a devoted son, husband, father, poppa, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Virgin and Sarah; and niece, Erin. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of almost 45 years, Janet Brown; mother, Virgin Brown; children, Janet (Justin) Yedica, Sherman (Laura) Brown, III and Gregory (Chris) Fox; grandchildren, Hunter, Mason, Addyson, Sherman IV, Thomas, Gregory, and John; siblings, Jane Brown, Sue Brown, Joe (T.J.) Brown, Pat (Bill) Brown, Nancy Brown, and Marion "Beagle" Brown; special nephews, Chance Brown and Clay Brown; and many other countless nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo, OH 43617. Funeral Services will begin Friday, June 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
