Shelia D. Anderson

July 9, 1962 — May 4, 2022

Shelia Anderson received her wings at home surrounded by family on May 04, 2022. She was born on July 09, 1962 in Camden, Arkansas to Leon & Katherine Johnson. In 1968, Shelia and her family moved to Toledo, Ohio where she would later attend Woodward High School and meet tons of friends. Shelia was the life of the party, light in the room and a good laugh in the time of need.

Shelia was a jack of all trades. Some of many talents were, Choir Director at Church, drill team founder/leader, STNA, daycare founder/provider, Outreach Director for Catherine Production Company and last but not least the best pumpkin roll maker on this side of Heaven. Despite all of her many talents being a good spades partner/player was not one of her gifts.

Shelia LOVED to be around people and enjoyed showing love and kindness to all. Most importantly she loved her family and had a true heart of a champion (unlike her favorite team the Cowboys). Shelia wanted a big family, but instead in 1988 was blessed with her daughter Kynna Johnson. From that day they were as one. In 1996, Shelia met James (Skipp) Anderson and in 1998, the two would marry and to that union she was blessed with Keontaye Anderson.

Shelia was greeted at Heaven's gates by her mother & father, brother Leon Johnson Jr, nephew Aaron Koonce, grandchildren Kaleb and Kayla Johnson and a host of friends and family members.

Shelia will leave to cherish her memories, Husband James Anderson, Daughter Kynna Johnson, Son Keontaye Anderson, Sisters Betty Chambers, Deborah Johnson, Beverly (Randolph) Lear and Cynthia Koonce. Brother Kerry (Kathy) Johnson. Nephews Darrell, Delbert, Leon, William,Leon III, Kerry Jr., Courtney, and Emmanuel; Nieces Katearia, Beverly (Nay Nay), Tiffonee, Krystal, Raechel, Candace, Felicia & Yvette, and a host of great nieces & nephews as well as great great nieces and nephews.

Best friends that were more like brothers & sisters than friends; Sheila Jewell, Pam Davis, Dwight Steele, Sharon & Jesse Watson, Tyrone Robinson, Lana Wright ,Joyce Coleman and Cavanna Powell.

The family would like to say thank you to all of those who helped Shelia with things like, rides to chemo/doctors appointments, bringing/ buying her food when she was too weak to cook or simply being a listening ear, or being a mentor during chemo/cancer battle. Debbie Johnson, Joyce Coleman, Phyllis Cunningham, Linda Gaston- Fitzpatrick, Sheila & Candace Jewell, Sharon Watson, Serry Johnson, Edith & Rhonda Peterson.
