Shawntoyva Lynn Brock

Shawntoyva Lynn Brock 40, passed away August 30, 2022 at Methodist Dallas Texas Hospital. She was born February 24, 1982 to the parents of Ms. Cheryl Danette Brock and Miles Anthony Garner Sr.
Shawntoyva was a very bright young lady always on honor roll and thrived to get out of complex problems that she encountered if she had interest. Shawntoyva attended Reynolds Public Elementary Schools, Nathan Hale, McTigue Junior High School and a graduate of Rogers High School 2004. Shawntoyva attended Cincinnati University in the Premed program; then years later she transferred home to the University of Toledo. Furthermore, Shawntoyva used each skill to work with her employer at State Farm as a storm adjuster then promoted to larger corporate accounts. Throughout her life she grew up and attended Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. Cedric Brock Pastor. There she was in choir and attended Sunday School.
After a long time, Shawn sought medical help for extreme pain in her neck region and had hoped to have successful surgery; but, unfortunately, she fell days before surgery while at home in her bathroom and had major injuries to the head and surgery that did not go well.
It was a long battle for Shawntoyva, but God knows what is best, and The Lord gets the Glory for our life either way.
Shawntoyva would say, "Mom I Love You" all the time; then she would say I just love you; I really, really love you; I told myself I take that love; so real, earned and deeply appreciate; Then I tell her I love you more

Shawntoyva Brock leaves her daughter a replica of herself, Anaya Elyse; Shawntoyva Lynn Brock's brothers, Miles Anthony (Susie Marie) Garner Jr., Todd Brandon Brock, and Mrs. Precious Brock. Shawntoyva leaves nieces, nephews, cousins, and half-brothers and half-sisters she kept in contact with and love being with them. Shawntoyva was preceded in death by her half-brother, Marcus Alexander.
The family will receive guests Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist, 831 North Detroit Ave Toledo, Ohio. The Funeral will begin Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with Dr. Cedric Brock Pastor officiating.
