Shawn Christopher Lloyd was born to James Lloyd & the late Alice Quinn on May 2nd, 1971. Shawn was raised in Toledo, Ohio by his parents Alice (Smith) Quinn and Joseph Quinn.
Shawn was a 1989 graduate of Thomas A. DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio. Following graduation Shawn enlisted in The United States Army in September 1989. While serving in the Army Shawn received many accommodations including 3 Bronze Stars, the National Defense Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, and an Army Good Conduct Medal. After being honorable discharged from the Army in 2001 he went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from The University of Toledo in 2007.
Shawn enjoyed traveling and was a music "aficionado" with an eclectic ear, he also enjoyed going to the movies, and had a passion for animals especially the Owl and Bald Eagle. On the weekends he would watch reruns of "The Incredible Dr. Pol," and every year it was tradition to watch the Westminster Dog Show with his wife and daughter Jayla. Shawn was also a connoisseur of fine things, including clothes, shoes, jewelry, and nice cars. He was always a stylish brother.
Shawn's witty personality and cool demeanor will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Shawn was preceded in death by his loving Mother Alice Quinn; Mother-in Law Benita McSwain, and Brother James C. "Precy" Lloyd.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his Wife Shontae Lloyd, Daughters Courtney, Seara, and Jayla. Father James (Florence) Lloyd, Dad Joseph (Bernice) Quinn, Brothers Jimmy (Marie) Lloyd, Davon Lloyd, and Jeremy Quinn, of Toledo, Ohio, LaRon Lloyd of Atlanta, GA and Sisters Tinika Lloyd of Toledo, Ohio and Donella (J.C.) Lloyd-McConnell of Des Moines, IA, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive guests Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900).
