Sharon Warner

Sharon L. "Hazel" Warner, age 70 of Toledo, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on Sunday, April 11th, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 30th, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio to Harold and Betty (Allen) Werdehoff. On October 19th, 1985 she married James A. Warner Sr. in Toledo. Sharon enjoyed making crafts, playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She managed the Timber Creek Apartments before she fell ill and needed a kidney transplant. Her daughter, Shearlann was a perfect match and was able to donate one of her own kidneys to her mother. She will be remembered for making people happy, baking her delicious apple pies, being Y-Not the clown for children and face painting for young children.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 25 years, James A. Warner Sr; children, BethAnn (Anthony) Beno, Mark Gilstorff, Shearlann (Eric) Schmidt and James A. (Lisa) Warner Jr., stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, currently serving in Iraq; grandchildren, Tara (Rob) Tibbits, Robert E. Jones, Aaron Nassif, Ashley, Tonya and Zachary Schmidt, Brittany, Jake and Amy; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Emily, Paige and Hunter; sister, Bonnie Fillmore. Preceding her in death is her mother;step-father, Donald M. Cready; brothers, Michael R. Werdehoff and Darrell 'Bill' Werdehoff.

The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral services will begin Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
