Sharon R. Benn

Sharon R. Benn, age 68, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, June 28th, 2009 at the home of her son, Charles, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 10th, 1940 to Daniel and Marian (Saunders) Lee in Toledo. Sharon was employed with the former Hinkle Manufacturing Company for more than 24 years. She was also a member of the UAW Local 12. Sharon enjoyed fishing with her husband Jim. She was known to her family as an avid fan of Elvis Presley and she loved to listen to all of his music. Most importantly Sharon was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Lee. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 19 years, James R. Benn; son, Charles W. (Danette) Popovich and daughter, Cindy (TimothyBork) Popovich; stepchildren, David (Robin) Benn; Steven (Julia) Benn and Kathalene (Jeremy) Johnson; grandchildren, Charles IV; Nathan; Felisha; Shane; Kayla; Jason; Jyles; Jenna and Ashley; stepgrandchildren, Lindsey; Lauren; Nolan; Christopher; Daniel; Konrad; Davis and Sophia; great grandchildren, Aalena and Ava; first husband, Charles Popovich, Jr.; very dear friend, Betty Markel and her faithful companion, "Cricket".

The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
