Sharon A. Wilson, age 69, of Toledo, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Regency Hospital of Toledo, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 21, 1943 to John and Mary (Stecher) Herb in Columbus, Ohio. Sharon was a longtime member of the Cathedral of Praise, now known as the Church on Strayer. She enjoyed traveling and to sew, even making all of her own clothes for many years. Sharon loved nothing more than the time spent with her family, especially her granddaughters. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, George "Steve" Wilson; sons, Christopher J., Timothy A. and Michael P. Wilson; daughter, Carrie M. (John) Kuntz; granddaughters, Ciera J. Johnson and Delilah D. Kuntz; brother, Jerry Herb; sisters, Max (Dan) Balcer, Anita Weber and Theresa (Patrick) Beasley; brother-in-law, Robert W. Wilson; and many nieces and nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 5:00 p.m. and 6 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
