Shari Lee Cutcher

June 17, 1952 — October 28, 2024

Toledo, Ohio

Shari Lee Cutcher, age 72, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on October 28, 2024, at The Toledo Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Shari was born on June 17, 1952, in Toledo, to the late Orville and Helen (Semeniw) Mauss.

Shari graduated from Start High School. Shari dedicated a significant part of her career to the culinary arts, such as The Market Restaurant, Ahmed's Steak House, and her last workplace, Speedway. Through her roles, she touched the lives of many, spreading joy and comfort through her work. Her dedication to service reflected her compassionate personality, and her colleagues will forever cherish the memories they created together.

Shari and Kevin were married for 42 years. Kevin would often say he was a lucky man to have her be a part of his life for so many years. With marriage comes its ups and downs; Kevin is 26 years sober and was fortunate that Shari supported him prior to January 31, 1998. They had their struggled just as any couple has raising a family, but what a wonderful life they had together! She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend to many over the years.

Shari was a woman of remarkable resilience. In her final months, she faced a difficult battle with cancer that tested her spirit in unimaginable ways. Yet, she fought fiercely, embodying a strength that inspired everyone around her. Her courage serves as a testament to the wonderful person she was, always putting others first, even in her hardest moments. Kevin, who had the honor of being a part of her journey for so many years, holds a special place in his heart for all that Shari represented.

Outside of her work and battle, Shari found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially when cheering on her beloved Detroit Tiger's. Those moments spent watching games were filled with laughter and the kind of joy that only the love of sports can bring.

Now, Shari has found peace, and she is in Heaven with Jesus and all those who have passed before her, reunited in eternal love. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Shari was a strong and wonderful woman whose legacy of love, compassion, and resilience will continue to inspire us all.

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving husband, Kevin Cutcher, whom she married on November 5, 1982; son, Tom Palka; daughter, Kim Cutcher; step-son, Ken (Sarah) Cutcher; grandchildren, Callie, Ken, Kyle, McKenzie, and Devin O'Rourke; sister, Cindy (Brian); and nieces, Katie and Kelly.

Shari was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Helen Mauss.
