Willie Earl Robinson was born in Little Rock Arkansas on February 4, 1951 to Le'Vert Larry and Rosie Lee Robinson. He departed this life on Friday, March 26, 2010.
At a young age, he moved to Toledo, Ohio. He was a graduate of Macomber-Whitney Vocational High School class of 1970. Majoring in Auto Mechanics and he was an excellent sportsman participating in basketball, track and field.
Willie was a devoted and faithful worker at Hydro-Matic Plant since the age of 18, as a set-up technician. He was also an active member of the U.A.W. Local 14. Still employed with Hydro-Matic, he enlisted into the United States Air Force for four years as a Medical Technician, earning him the ranks of Sergeant.
He was preceded in death by his father, Le'Vert Larry, youngest son, Jermaine McNair, grandparents, Joel Larry and Rosa Jackson and Milton and Marie Robinson, all from Little Rock Arkansas.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his lovely mother, Rosie Robinson; wife, Desaray Robinson; children, Rosalyn McNair, Jerome McNair, Rolanda Wimberly and stepson, Orlando Williams; siblings, Ronald (Sylvia) Dowl, Tariq (Carol) Abdullah of Atlanta, Georgia and Toni (Ben) Starks and Steven (Fabian) Larry of Little Rock Arkansas; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Wake services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Greater New Psalmist Church, 3251 Glendale Avenue. Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the church. Officiating will be Pastor Leroy Smith. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
