Scott W. Smith, 43, of Oregon, Ohio passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 9, 2013.
Scott was an avid Detroit sports fan and especially enjoyed attending Tigers games whenever possible. He was employed with Libbey Glass in the Forming Operator Apprenticeship. He served 13 years of military service between active duty and the Ohio and Alaska National Guards. SSG Smith was deployed to Iraq in support of OIF V as an Infantryman. He received an honorable discharge in February 2012.
Scott is survived by his wife, McKenzie; daughters, Josie and Lucy; mother, Carol Smith and sister, Kalah (Bob) Gladieux. He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Smith.
Newcomer Funeral Home (419-381-1900) assisted the family with professional services. A Memorial and Celebration of Scott's life will be held for friends and family at 1:00 p.m. at Doc Watson's in Toledo on Sunday, July 14, 2013.
