Schubert R. Cresswell

Schubert R. Cresswell, passed away July 30, 2015 in Perrysburg, Ohio. Schubert was born August 9, 1942 in Alton, Illinois to Joseph and Hildegard (Schubert) Cresswell. He was a graduate of Alton High School, Class of 1960. Schubert also attended Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois. He began his work career at Owens-Illinois in Godfrey, IL as a time study clerk in 1967. He then progressed through the ranks working as a machine supervisor in Charlotte, MI and Atlanta, GA and then as a mold and machine and forming supervisor in Toano, VA. He retired in 1999 from O-I as a level 4 professional within the glass container manufacturing and engineering support group in Perrysburg, OH. Schubert enjoyed politics, reading, cooking, sailing, boating and traveling.

Left to cherish his memory, loving wife of 26 years, Phyllis A. Cresswell; his children with Kathleen Houck of Yorktown, VA; Jennifer L. (Mark) Hubbard of Smithfield, VA and Ryan A. (Patty) Cresswell of Yorktown,VA; grandchildren, Alexandra Destasio, Daniela, Marcelo, Sebastian, Nicholas and Zachary Cresswell; brother, Jerome (Helen) Cresswell of Godfrey, Ill; special nieces and nephew, Erica Henkhaus, Matthew Cresswell and Julie Bond; and a host of other friends and family from around the world.

The family will receive guests, Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900).

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to the favorite charity of your choice.
