Sara Lynn Scott Mitchell
September 3, 1981 — July 10, 2022
Sara Lynn Scott Mitchell, age 40, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at home surrounded by her loved ones, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on September 3, 1981, in Toledo, Ohio, to Robert Scott and Anne Kaminski.
Sara attended Start High School. She was a stay at home mom, which she loved doing. Sara loved and adored her kids. She liked coloring in the adult coloring books, taking walks, playing outside with her kids, and playing Pokémon Go. Sara and her fiancé, Joseph, were big in the H.A. community; together they ran a group for almost two years. They were in the Step 1 Club, in which she loved helping others' in their addiction. The support and compassion she gave to those individuals will stay with them, it is something they will forever be grateful for.
Sara was a fighter. She will forever be a guardian angel looking over her family and friends. Sara will truly be missed by all who knew her. This is not goodbye, it is see you later.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her five loving children, Collin, Conner, Delilah, Corrine, and Kehlani; fiancé, Joseph Mitchell, whom she has been with for over 10 years; mother, Anne Kaminski; and two siblings, Josh Kaminski and Deanna Scott.
Sara was greeted in Heaven by her father, Robert Scott; maternal grandmother, Carol Kaminski; and paternal grandmother, Flora Dean Scott.
Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm. There will be a Mass to remember Sara, at a later date.
