Sara Ann (Nichols) Wysocki, 76, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, May 31, 2012 while surrounded with the love of her family and friends.
Unique in her direct and sometimes salty style of communicating, Sara never hesitated to provide fitting and suitable guidance to family, friends and foe alike and she was loved for it. Always a devoted mother, Sara was there for her five children in a big way as they were growing up. She was a stellar Single Mom before that term was really known or used. As adults each of her children reciprocated. Needing care and attention in her last months, Sara happily acknowledged that her children flat-out spoiled her during that period of time. Sara was very artistic, creative and was a talented seamstress. She was also an avid puzzler, enjoyed a variety of music, loved sports, Fantasy Football and liked watching Nascar, always rooting for the M&M's car. Sara, her daughter and granddaughter baked thousands of Christmas cookies every year, donating them to many homeless shelters and people in need. For the past thirty years Sara was an instrumental part of the continued success of the Jo-Jo Pizza operation, developing and maintaining great relationships with its licensees. Prior to that she was the office manager at Buck & Knobby's John Deere Equipment Co. for 25 years.
Sara is survived by her children, Dave, Anna (John) Wlazlo, Jim (Vicki), Brian (Karen), Mark (Joni); grandchildren, Samantha, Jimmy, Vincent, Lee, Duane, Shayna and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Ein and Fabian; and siblings, Robert Lloyd, Rebecca Bowman and Charles Nichols.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial at Whiteford Union Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the Sara Wysocki Fund in c/o Anna Wlazlo or Mark Wysocki at Charter One. Sara's children are looking forward to continuing random acts of kindness that Sara quietly started many years ago by providing help to those in need.
The Family would like to thank Erie West Hospice for their care and compassion.
