Sandra Marie Loyer

Sandra Marie Loyer, age 63, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Ebeid Hospice. She was born on July 16, 1959, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to the late Robert and Emily (Simon) Loyer.

Sandy worked at Lott Industries for many years, where she was a dedicated hard worker who took pride in her work. Recently, she was employed at Sunshine Communities, working as a creator at their Maumee Art Studio. In her earlier years, Sandy was in the Special Olympics. She enjoyed crafting, from coloring to creating unique personalized artwork for others. Sandy loved watching Wheel of Fortune, playing bingo, watching movies, with one of her favorites being The Sound of Music, and listening to her favorite music. Some of her favorite pastimes were hanging out with her best friend and brother, David, playing Uno and going out to eat. She had a huge heart with a lot of love to give others. Her smile, love, and free spirit will forever be missed by those who knew her. This isn't goodbye, it's see you later…

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her sister, Jackie (John) Blessing; brother, David Loyer; sister-in-law, Debbie Loyer; nieces, Kristi Loyer, Melissa (Shawn) Martens, Brooke (Tim) Noonan, and Emily Blessing; nephews, Michael Loyer II and Dylan Loyer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Loyer.

The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at Taylor Made Nursing for their care and support they gave to Sandy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Waterside Sylvania Clubhouse, at Sylvania Avenue and Mariner Blvd, on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
