Sandy passed away peacefully on Tuesday at home with her loving family by her side. She was born to Gerald and Loretta (Butler) Tenney in Sylvania, Ohio. Sandy grew up in Sylvania where she graduated from her local high school. She worked at Toys R Us for 14 years where she was a kid at heart herself. Sandy loved reading, crocheting, computer games and camping with her family. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and watching the Green Bay Packers play. Sandy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angel. Sandy is survived by her loving husband of almost 40 years, Don; daughters, Heidi (Tim), Kristie (Dave) and Doni Marie (Ruben); 5 grandchildren; siblings, Mary (Danny), Billy, Danny, John (Angie) and Gerald.
The family will receive guests on Friday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
Those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the family.
