Sandra L. Mccormick

Sandra L. "Sandy" McCormick, age 53, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully Monday, June 1, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by her loving family. Sandy was born on May 21, 1962 to Charles and Lois (Mangold) Meyer, Sr. in Toledo. She was a dedicated, loving and compassionate LPN for over 30 years that the nursing industry will truly miss. Sandy started out nursing at Villa North for 27 years and then worked at Arbors of Waterville until unable to work anymore due to her illness. She enjoyed shopping with her friends, camping, traveling and spending time with her daughter, especially their Sunday Night Desperate Housewives ritual. Sandy loved nothing more than family get-togethers and spending time with her grandchildren.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Arelious "Bill" McCormick, Jr.; daughter, Nikki (Michael Jackson) Krompak; step-son, Arelious (Trina) McCormick, III; parents, Charles and Lois Meyer, Sr.; grandchildren, Terriana, DeeAndre, Ayana and Aubrey; siblings, Charles (Shirley) Meyer, Jr., Constance (Steven) Lydon and Gregory (Jennifer) Meyer; best friends, Shelly (Fred) Rose and Elizabeth (Patrick) Kriner; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to her grandparents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dustin Krompak.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
