Sandra G. Collins

Sandra "Sandy" Gail Collins, age 64, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on November 12, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Wesley D. and Annie K. (Neal) Washer.

Sandy graduated from Libbey High School and continued her education at University of Toledo. She had previously worked at the Ohio Turnpike for 6 years. Sandy enjoyed tending to her garden, playing cards, especially Euchre, traveling and taking trips with her daughter, one of her favorites being Las Vegas. Sandy attended Al-Anon meetings where she would meet wonderful people whom she cared so deeply for. Most of all, family was number one in Sandy's eyes; family was very important to her. She never missed her children's school activities or her granddaughters. Spending time with her granddaughter was something she enjoyed and looked forward too. Sandy will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving husband, Rick Collins, whom she married on May 9, 1987; children, Zac Collins and Mackenzie Collins; granddaughter, Adelynn; sister-cousin, Cathy (Bill) Coleman; nieces, Darlene Washer, April Schalow, and Alexis Simpson; nephew, TJ Washer; and many friends and loved ones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William Washer, Thomas Washer, Wesley Alan Washer, and Todd Washer.

Friends and family may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio, 43623, on Saturday, May 28, 2022, from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, where a sharing of memories will take place at 3:00 pm. Please come with a special memory or time you spent with Sandy.
