Samuel D. Farmer, Jr., age 69 of Toledo, went into the presence of God on Sunday, April 8, 2012. He was born July 3, 1942 to Samuel D. Farmer, Sr. and Elnora (Moore) in Chatum, Mississippi. Samuel was a retired over the road CDL driver, having worked for several trucking companies in Toledo for over 45 years. He was a member of Cornerstone Church where he attended services regularly and had strong faith in God. Samuel loved trucking and seeing different parts of the U.S., cooking, spending time with his family and listening to smooth Blues music.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Irene Farmer; daughter, Sandra Farmer; son's, Tony Little and David Little; sisters, Lucille Farmer and Katie Lindsay; loving and very precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of special nieces and nephews. Preceding him in passing are his parents and his daughter, Doris Farmer.
The family will receive guests Friday from 11:00 a.m. until Noon at Cornerstone Church, 1520 N. Reynolds Rd. Funeral Services will begin in the church at Noon with Pastor Banks officiating. Burial will take place in Greenville, Mississippi.
