Sam E. Threet, 70 years old, passed away on Wednesday, March 18. He died the same way he lived his life-surrounded by family in his North Toledo home. A cement mason and dry-waller by trade, Sam also worked at the Jeep Plant, retiring in 1985. He spent the rest of his life being the caregiver for his kids and grandkids. Sam was happiest in his backyard, sitting under his favorite tree, drinking coffee and watching over his family.
Sam leaves behind a family who will cherish his memory forever including wife of 42 years, Linda; daughters, Cynthia (Frank Ramirez) Ott, Alexis Threet and Amanda (Jerahmie) Swan; grandchildren, Christina, Aaron (Lindsey), Joseph, Jeffery, Annastaisha, Austin and Kamryn; great-grandchildren, Mason, Gage and Liam; brother, Charlie (Bonnie) Threet; sister, Trish (Jim) Munoz; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Levans and brother, Bill Threet.
The family will receive guests on Monday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with visitation one hour prior.
The family asks that any donations made in Sam's memory be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
