Sallyann Ankney, age 82, passed away at home on March 1, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 8, 1934 to the late Juanda and Wilbur Kennedy in Bucyrus, Ohio.
Sallyann was a creative person, always coming up with new ideas and inventions. She and John enjoyed traveling in their motor home, playing cards and "the board game." Sallyann and her first husband, Chuck, were the founders of Rainbow Acres Skating Rink and were members of the RSROA. Sallyann was a very loving "mother" to many and will be missed by all.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dan (Diane) Kissling, Mickki (Ross) Skaggs, Georgia Goolsby and Willie (Candice) Kissling; step-children, Janet Ankney, Susan (Chris) Allman, John (Cindy) Ankney and Sally (Dennis) Hill; special family members, Angelica Martinez and Allen Hoar; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and life-long friends, Judy, Ginger and Sue. In addition to her parents, Sallyann was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. Kissling; second husband John Ankney and brother, Jack Kennedy.
The family will receive guests from 2-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
