Sally L. Key, age 80, of Toledo, passed away peacefully October 18, 2014 at the University of Toledo Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Sally was born March 19, 1934 in Toledo to Watson and Phyllis (Boddy) Key. Sally was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School and Davis Business College. She was employed with LOF Tech Center for more than 40 years. Sally was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and worked in their "Next to New" shop. In her free time Sally enjoyed gardening, playing BUNCO with the girls, gambling, throwing parties for family and friends, and had a great love for all animals.
In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her siblings Susan and Pete. She is survived by her nieces, Jennifer (Lynn) Heyman, Joni (Robert) Miller, Kelley Key, Amy (Roy) Singley, great nephew Ryan Singley, sister-in-law Karen Key, longtime friend Edward Auerbach, and four legged kids Sassy and Davey.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Amanda Bartoe for the wonderful care and compassion she gave to Sally during her illness.
The family will receive guests Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
