Ryan G. Stockman, age 46, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at The Toledo Hospital, surrounded by his family and close friends. He was born on June 2, 1971 to Mel (Ann) Stockman and Peggy Gorman in Toledo. Ryan was an accomplished mechanic who ran his own transmission business for many years. But he is most remembered for his heart of gold. He would travel miles to help family, friends and strangers alike. He loved life and lived large, from his love of food, to riding his Harley, boats, cars, racing and camping. A smile, a hug, a joke - he had for all! Sharing his infectious laugh, he had a way of brightening your day. His legacy and love of cars, he passes on to his son, Hudson.
Left to cherish his memory is his parents; daughter, Darby Sue and son, Hudson Stockman; sister, Neely (Stockman) Harvey; uncles, Randall (Michelle) and Rick (Carol) Hudson; grandmother, Betty Stockman and the entire Stockman family; niece, Kennedy Skiles; cousin, Britt (Hudson) Lock; best friend, Johnny Viola; and many other cousins and a host of dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dale (Phyllis) Hudson and step-dad, Mo Gorman.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). His Funeral Service will begin in the funeral home on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. James Auth officiating. Memorial Procession will follow to Toledo Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions will be accepted into a fund established for his children, The Stockman Children Fund at any 5/3rd Bank.
