Ruth Scofield

Ruth V. Scofield, age 91, of Maumee, passed away Tuesday, April 03, 2007 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. She was born on September 14, 1915 to Anton and Anna (Horner) Diewald in Toledo. Ruth was a member of Collingwood Methodist Church for many years. She was a cashier and in sales at W.T. Grant Co. for 20 years before retiring. Ruth was known to her grandchildren as "Grandma Chuckie" and loved nothing more than spending time with them and her entire family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Scofield. Ruth is survived by her loving daughters: Carolyn (Jim) Zink and Sharlene (Bobby) Wallace of Gallatin, TN; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren;

The family will receive guests on Friday, April 6, 2007 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) from 2 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
