Ruth Maxwell

Ruth Arlene Maxwell, age 89, of Temperance, MI, passed away February 22, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Ruth was born March 20, 1925 in Buffalo, NY to Edgar and Henrietta (Bley) Hippert. She was employed as a Registered Nurse for more than 40 years. Ruth was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church and volunteered at the Temperance library. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was also preceded in death by her infant son Douglas and her sister Henrietta Noble. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years Earl, sons Dennis (Marlene), Thomas and Kim (Rachelle), grandchildren Denise, Stephen, Adam, Rachel, Melissa and Mackenzie, great grandchildren Andrew, Zoe and Ashley.
The family will receive guests Friday, February 27, 2015 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 11:00 am. at Christ the King Lutheran Church (2843 W. Sterns Road, Lambertville, MI 48144) where her body will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m.
