Ruth L. Mclean

Ruth Louise McLean, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 2, 2013. She was born on February 1, 1920 to the late Myron and Mary Phillips in Mt. Clemens, MI.

Ruth was a devoted wife and mother who loved her pets, gardening and the neighborhood. She was blessed to have many caring friends and neighbors and was a staunch advocate for teen activities at our local parks. Ruth was a "second Mom" to many of the neighborhood kids, offering her love and guidance to all. She has touched the lives of so many people in West Toledo and will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her. Ruth has now joined her loving husband. Take good care of her Dad!

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, James F. McLean, Sr. and siblings, Anthony and James Phillips. She is survived by her three sons, James Jr. "Fred" (Laurie), Patrick "Mike" (June) and Dennis (Cathy); grandchildren, Julie, Lisa, Linda (Jeff) and Pat (Sue); great-grandchildren, Cameron, Courtney, Cole, Miranda, Meredith, Jonah, Zachary, A.J., Abi, Kaden, Ava, Gavin and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests from 9-10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Parkway, Toledo. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park.
