Ruth Ann (Ward) Johnston, age 77, of Rossford, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 31, 1934, in Toledo to William and Lula Ward.
Ruth was employed as a kitchen helper for over 25 years with Belmont Country Club. She enjoyed making beaded banners for her family and friends.
The widow of Leroy "Jack" Johnston whom passed away June 2, 1980; Ruth is survived by her loving children, Debra Ann Hale, Danny (Darlene) Hale, and Kenneth (Shelly) Hale; grandchildren, Stacie (Juan) Villarreal, Tiffany Anderson, Jonae Hale, Brandon Hale, and Matthew Marsh; great-grandchildren,
Nicholas Hale, Juan D. Villarreal, Cheyenne Villarreal, Alesia Villarreal, Zackary Anderson, and Donavon Hill; special daughter, Linda (Billy) Gay; granddaughter, Rebecca Gay, and siblings, Sally (Richard) Smalley and Thomas (Ellen) Ward. In addition to her parents, and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Myers.
Family and friends may visit Wednesday, February 8, 2012, from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, (419-381-1900) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
