Ruth Huss

Ruth Helen Huss, age 91, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Parkcliffe Community. Ruth was born December 31, 1923 in Sylvania to Clifford and Margaret (Sawyer) Calkins. She married Norman C. Huss on November 14, 1942 and worked as a cashier, retiring in 1986 from Sylvania Savings Bank.


Surviving are her husband of 73 years, Norman C. Huss, son, Jerry Lee (Christine) Huss, grandchildren; Gregory, Mark (Holly) and Randall (Amanda) Huss, five great grandchildren, Mason, Reagan, Sydney, Conner, and Cameron Huss. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Leland D. and 2 great grandchildren, Shelly in 1984 and Cory in 1987.


Friends are invited to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life to begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Richard Habrecht officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, in Ruth's memory to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. The family wishes to thank Promedica Hospice and Parkcliffe Community for their loving care and support.
