Ruth G. Pfitzer, age 90, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer, Monday, September 9, 2013 at her daughters home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 25, 1923 in Toledo to Theodore and Emma (Sheets) Kuhn.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Sharon (Bernard) Garrah and Ruthann (Thomas) Woelfl; 4 grandhcildren; 7 great grandchildren; and brother, James Brittson. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Pfitzer and great grandson, Carter Sulen.
The family will receive guests Friday, September 13, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The family will also receive guests Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Parkway Toledo, Ohio 43612. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to ProMedica Hospice. Special thank you to the wonderful caregivers at ProMedica Hospice, and Dr. Tita and his staff for their loving care of Ruth.
