Ruth G. Fackler, age 81, of Toledo passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 20, 1931 in Utica, NY to Arthur and Julia (Dey) Evans. A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Ruth will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish Ruth's memory are her children, Herbert Fackler, Jr., Charles Fackler, Jeanne Smith, Cynthia (Otis) Roark and Brian Fackler; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Irene (Jim) Gibbs and Margie Northern; and brother, Robert Evans. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Fackler; sisters, Blanche Grubbs, Dora Hinkley and Florence Evans; and brother, Donald Evans.
The family will receive guests Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, (419-473-0300). Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
The family requests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
