Ruth E. Huss

Ruth Ellen (Wharton) Huss, 94, of Lutz, Florida passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014. She was born in Toledo, Ohio and attended Scott High School there. Before settling in Lutz, Florida, she lived in Columbus, Ohio and Land O' Lakes, Florida. She married William T. Huss on April 17, 1941. Ruth was a member of Monroe Street Methodist Church in Toledo, Ohio, Calvary Methodist Church in Toledo, Ohio and Messiah Lutheran Church in Tampa, Florida. She is predeceased by her husband, William T. Huss; parents Grace and Wendell Wharton. Ruth is survived by her son, Larry and wife, Linda Huss; daughter, Wendy Huss and Barb Packer; sisters, Wilma Steele, Lois Bender and Marisue Mygatt; grandchildren, Mark (Diane) Huss and Julia Johnston; great grandchildren, Robert Huss, Veronica Huss and Peyton Johnston; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
